The offshore Oil and Gas (O&G) industry uses all kinds of cables and pipes to interconnect subsea wells and delivery systems. Pipelines, power transmission and telecoms cables can be used independently or bundled into special umbilical cables for interconnection. Depending on risk of damage and local requirements, these systems can be buried or left exposed on the seabed.
